OCV works to educate and connect communities, and help with important local advocacy. We respond to specific requests from neighbors and agencies that are interested in working with our rural community. We also help communities understand decision-making authority, who to influence and how to use the media.
We monitor local issues and keep people regularly informed through our newsletter and social media. We are also working to improve connections across community, faith and civic groups.
Our leaders are working on projects related to rural economic development, rural seniors, rural transportation, cyclist/motorist safety and basic public services. Because of our interest in alternatives to landfills, we actively monitor emerging technologies that create energy from waste.
If your community has a topic or issue and would like our help, please contact any board member.
