Justice United Community Teams - through our alliance with Justice United, we need volunteers to work with county-wide teams on the following topics:
Education - working on the achievement gaps in Chapel Hill and Orange County schools. This is a great opportunity for residents with education or education administration backgrounds.
Environment – to work on county-wide solutions to handling trash, biosolids (sludge) and other environmental issues.
Rural Community Awareness - to build county-wide awareness about rural communities and find programs of shared interest.
Orange County Recreation and Parks Advisory Council – OCV has been invited to nominate a Bingham citizen to serve on the county’s Recreation and Parks Advisory Council. This representative can bring forth important ideas for greenways and community driven recreational spaces that fit the rural community.
