Who is Orange County Voice?

Orange County Voice (OCV) is a community service organization that advocates for rural communities. Our mission is to protect rural communities, farmland and natural resources from random sprawl and unwanted municipal development. We are committed to support and enhance rural character through effective land use, community development, sustainable environmental practices and rural heritage.

Our work includes:

  • Encouraging community and economic development that enhances rural character and the quality of life for residents and visitors. We support farmland preservation and vibrant community-run businesses.
  • Assuring sustainable environmental practices in rural areas to protect water, air, and land sources including wetlands, habitats, and other natural resources that are often overlooked or compromised. This work includes seeking alternatives to harmful practices such as landfills and land application of sewage sludge.
  • Advocating for land use and zoning that enhances rural communities. We aggressively oppose unwanted industrial and municipal development, and the use of eminent domain in rural areas.
  • Engaging citizens, communities and elected officials in fact-based, win-win solutions that are socially, environmentally and fiscally responsible.

Orange County Voice is a 501(c)(3) organization. We are non-partisan and non-denominational.
